Contemporary
Romance with Grit, Heart, and Healing.
About
My name is T.L. Ellett
I am a new author breaking into the contemporary romance scene with a sledgehammer. An Army veteran, teacher, and lifelong storyteller, I found my passion for love, angst, and spice during the COVID pandemic—devouring romance novels and rediscovering my childhood dream of writing.
My stories are shaped by real-life experience, allowing me to write with raw honesty about trauma, healing, and the messy, beautiful work of loving and being loved.

Born in Virginia and raised in Massachusetts, I've lived across the United States, bringing a sense of place and diversity to my characters and worlds.
Now settled in Virginia with my amazingly supportive wife, our daughter, three sons, and a lively fur family of seven cats and two dogs, I choose to write stories that champion resilience, found family, and the belief that love—and life—are always worth fighting for.

Debut Novel
Keep Fighting is a raw, emotional, and deeply authentic contemporary romance about love, trauma, and the relentless pursuit of healing.
Gabriella Scott is a social worker, mother, and wife, barely holding her family together after years of sacrifice and separation. Her husband, Victor, a recently retired Army Special Forces veteran, is struggling to find his place in civilian life, haunted by memories and the growing distance between them.

As their marriage teeters on the edge, a close-knit circle of friends—fellow veterans and their spouses—rally around Gabbi and Vic, offering unconventional support and a safe space to confront their pain. Through honest conversations, laughter, and sometimes uncomfortable truths, Gabbi and Vic must decide if they’re willing to fight for each other or let go of the life they’ve built.

Set against the backdrop of family chaos, teenage daughters, and the high-stakes world of juvenile justice, Keep Fighting explores the messy, beautiful reality of long-term love. With moments of humor, heartbreak, and hope, this debut novel is a tribute to the strength it takes to keep choosing each other—even when the world feels like it’s falling apart.

Perfect for fans of military romance, second-chance love, and stories that don’t shy away from the hard stuff, Keep Fighting is a powerful reminder that sometimes, the bravest thing you can do is stay.
