Who I Am

T.L. Ellett is a bold new voice crashing into the contemporary romance scene with a sledgehammer.

An Army veteran turned teacher turned author, she rediscovered her love for stories during the COVID pandemic, devouring every ounce of love, angst, and spice she could get her hands on. What started as an escape quickly reignited the childhood dream she’d tucked away — and she hasn’t stopped writing since. If she was going to chase this dream, she figured she might as well write the kind of stories she loves most: raw, emotional, and deeply human.

Armed with two master’s degrees in education and a bachelor’s in communication, T.L. brings a unique blend of discipline, empathy, and lived experience to her work. Her characters carry real scars, real hope, and the messy, beautiful resilience she’s witnessed throughout her own life.

Born in Virginia and raised in Massachusetts, she has lived all over the United States, collecting the places, people, and emotional textures that now shape her fictional worlds. She currently lives in Virginia with her amazingly supportive wife and their 19‑year‑old daughter, while her three adult sons live nearby. Her home is also joyfully overrun by a lively fur family of eight cats and two dogs — all of whom firmly believe they are her true coworkers.

T.L. Ellett writes stories for readers who crave honesty, healing, and the kind of love that feels earned. Her work champions found family, emotional grit, and the belief that love — and life — are always worth fighting for.
